Privacy and what this site stores
The calculators on this site run in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are never sent to a server.
Calculators run in your browser
Every calculator on this site runs in the browser, which means the lot size, price or margin figure you enter stays on your device and is never sent to a server. We do not store your inputs, we do not log them, and we do not build a profile from them. The calculation happens locally and the result appears locally.
This matters for gold (XAU/USD) because the numbers a reader types can reveal account size and risk appetite. Keeping the arithmetic in the browser means the desk never sees those figures. If a page ever needs a server to work, it will say so on the page before you use it, and it does not at present.
How Long Data Is Kept, What Removes It, and How Policy Changes Are Announced
Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange, after which they are deleted. Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then rotated out. Cookie lifespans depend on the provider and on your browser settings, and clearing your browser storage removes the cookies this site placed. We do not set a single fixed retention number for every item because each type of data has a different purpose and a different deletion trigger.
Deletion happens in three ways: you clear your browser storage, you ask us to delete an email you sent, or a retention period set by a provider expires. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you after the cookie identifier expires. Affiliate click records are held by the affiliate network under its own retention schedule. If you want a specific item removed and are unsure which route applies, contact us and we will tell you who holds it and what will delete it.
When this privacy policy changes, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top of it. A material change, such as a new third party or a new category of data, will be described in the updated text rather than buried silently. We will not apply a new use to data you already gave us without telling you. Because the site holds so little, most changes will concern cookies or third-party providers, and the revised page will say which section changed.
Affiliate Tracking in Plain Terms: What a Broker Link Records
When you click a broker link on Enugu Copy, an affiliate cookie is placed so the broker knows the visit came from this site. If you later open an account and fund it, the broker may pay us a commission. That payment does not change the price you pay, the spread you are quoted, or the leverage available to you. The broker sets those terms, and they are the same whether you arrive from this site or type the broker address directly into your browser.
Affiliate tracking records the click, the time, and a site identifier. It does not give us your name, your email, your naira bank transfer reference, or your trading results. We do not receive a copy of your account statement, and we cannot see your positions in gold (XAU/USD) or any other instrument. The broker holds that information under its own privacy policy, which you should read before you open an account. Our commission is not tied to whether you win or lose a trade.
We state affiliate relationships plainly because a reader deserves to know why a link exists. A link to FxPro is an affiliate link. It is not a recommendation that you trade, and it is not a promise that gold trading suits you. Gold is high-risk, and leverage is a cap, not a target. If you prefer not to be tracked, use your browser settings to block affiliate cookies or navigate to the broker directly. The guides and calculators on this site remain free to use either way.
Third Parties That Receive Data From This Site
Three groups of third parties can receive data from this site: the analytics provider, the affiliate network that handles broker links, and the broker itself once you follow a link. The analytics provider receives page-view data and a cookie identifier. The affiliate network receives the click and the site identifier. The broker receives whatever you choose to submit on its own registration pages. We do not pass your email address or any message you send us to these parties.
The broker that serves Nigeria in our links is FxPro, through FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA; confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators. That caveat matters for privacy as well as for licensing, because the entity you register with determines which data protection rules apply to your account. The broker's own privacy policy, not this page, governs the personal data you give it during sign-up and funding.
Our analytics provider and affiliate network act as separate controllers or processors under their own terms. We choose providers that describe their retention and security practices, but we cannot control what a broker does with data you submit after you leave this site. If you use a local NGN bank transfer, a Visa or Mastercard debit card, an e-payment, or crypto to fund a broker account, that payment data goes to the broker and its payment partners, not to Enugu Copy. We never see your card number or transfer reference.
Brokers and their own cookies
When you follow a link to a broker, that broker sets its own cookies under its own policy, and this desk does not control them. The broker may know that you arrived from this site through an affiliate link, which is how the referral works, and its cookie notice is the document that governs what it stores. Read that notice before you open an account.
We do not pass your name, your email address or anything you typed into a calculator to a broker, because we never receive those things. If a broker's page asks for information, that request comes from the broker and is answered to the broker. The relationship from that point is between you and the broker, and the broker's privacy terms apply.
Your Rights Over Data Held About You and the Steps to Use Them
You have the right to ask what personal data Enugu Copy holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You also have the right to object to analytics tracking and to withdraw cookie consent at any time. Because we hold very little, most requests are simple: if the only data is an email you sent us, deletion means we remove that message from our inbox. To make a request, email us using the contact address on the site and state what you want done.
We will confirm what we hold and act on a deletion or correction request within a reasonable period. We may ask you to verify that the email address making the request is the one that contacted us, so that we do not delete or disclose the wrong person's message. We do not charge a fee for a routine request. If the data you want removed sits with a broker or an analytics provider, we will tell you so and point you to that party, because we cannot delete records we do not control.
For data held by a broker, exercise your rights directly with that broker under its privacy policy. For matters involving a capital market operator in Nigeria, the SEC Nigeria is the local authority, and its register of capital market operators is the place to confirm a firm's status. Cookie consent can be changed through your browser at any time without contacting us. If you believe we have handled your data badly, tell us first so we can correct it, and you may also raise it with the relevant regulator.
What Enugu Copy Stores on Its Own Servers and What It Never Keeps
Enugu Copy stores only the text you type into a contact form or email to us, plus basic server logs that record the page requested and the time of the request. We do not store calculator inputs on our servers because every calculator runs inside your browser. Nothing you type into a position-size or margin field is transmitted to us, so there is no server-side record of your lot size, entry price, or account balance to store or lose.
We do not keep your name, email address, phone number, or bank details unless you send them to us voluntarily in a message. If you email us, that message sits in our inbox and is used only to reply to you. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell contact details, and we do not add you to a marketing list without a separate, clear action from you. Naira amounts or broker account numbers you mention in an email are not copied into any database.
The site stores a small amount of technical data in your browser, such as your cookie preference, so the page does not ask you the same question on every visit. That preference stays on your device. Clearing your browser storage removes it. We do not store your IP address in a customer record, and we do not combine server logs with any other information to identify you personally. The distinction is simple: what stays on your device is yours to delete, and what reaches our inbox exists only because you chose to send it.
The Four Kinds of Cookies This Site Uses and What Each One Does
This site uses four kinds of cookies: strictly necessary cookies, preference cookies, analytics cookies, and affiliate-tracking cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the page working and remember your cookie choice. Preference cookies remember settings such as whether you have dismissed a notice. Analytics cookies help us see which pages are read and which are ignored. Affiliate cookies record that a visit to a broker came from a link on this site. Each kind has a separate job, and none of them is used to build a personal profile of you.
Strictly necessary and preference cookies are set by this site and are the ones you cannot switch off without breaking basic functions. Analytics cookies are set through a third-party analytics service and are only placed after you accept them. Affiliate cookies are placed when you click a broker link and are read by the broker or its affiliate network, not by us. The exact lifespan of each cookie depends on the provider and on your browser settings, so we do not state a fixed number of days for any of them.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the site from remembering your choice, so you may see the cookie notice again. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect the calculators or the guides. Blocking affiliate cookies does not stop you from reaching a broker, but it may mean the broker does not attribute your visit to this site. No cookie on this site gives us access to your broker account, your bank transfer details, or your card number.
What we do collect
We collect only aggregate traffic counts, such as how many times a page was viewed, so the desk can tell which pages readers actually use. These counts are not used to identify a person, and they are not sold or handed to a broker. We do not run an advertising network of our own and we do not ask you to create an account to read a page.
Local storage holds your own preferences, such as a setting you chose on a calculator, and it stays on your device. Clearing your browser storage removes it, and nothing breaks if you do. We do not use local storage to track you across other sites, because the desk has no presence on other sites to track you across.
